Falcone's Harbinger Lost 19.5% in Illiquid Fund
Harbinger Capital Partners LLC, the hedge-fund run by billionaire Philip A. Falcone, lost 19.5 percent last year in a pool of hard-to-sell assets that it's divesting, according to a letter sent to investors this week.

Argument continues over cracked floors
The North Platte Telegraph Disagreements continue regarding floor conditions in the new Lincoln County jail. Last week, jail inspector Kirk Nichols said some of the floors have milky spots that appear to be caused by grout, standing water and other liquids that spilled. He said the stains are polished over, and the concrete is pawned off as a finished floor.
