Lifted Trucks

We forever hunt for info regarding new information on industrial forklifts. We have enclosed an article that I believe you would find informative.

Lifted Trucks

Lifted trucks are extremely popular with people who admire the monster truck look. These are mostly liked by men who are in their twenties or younger, but they are popular in almost all age groups and liked by both genders. They can be a resource of sheer entertainment.

It takes an experienced driver to drive lifted trucks. They are so far off the ground that they can be hard to drive properly. This can prove to be a road hazard in case someone is hit. A lifted truck is very heavy and the distance between a truck and the ground can be large, so the angle of impact can severely injure the person who is hit. The legal maximum limit for the distance of a vehicle's frame from the ground varies between 23 to 31 inches, and maximum height permitted is dependent on vehicle type and weight.

Lifted trucks take a little longer to stop, are more difficult to manage, have a greater risk of rollover, and are very tall. These aspects of a lifted truck can be very dangerous and can cause substantial damage to people.

Lifting a truck is also expensive. For any person, it may be a great way to express his or her individuality, but not everyone can afford it. A skilled mechanic can create lifted trucks. Moreover, they can be found by searching a local telephone directory or going online for a location in a specific area. It is always advisable to get several quotes before selecting which place to go to and enquire about how long it will take for the process to be complete.

To be on the safer side, it is recommended, before lifting a truck, to check with local laws to find out if there are any restrictions on how high a truck can be raised as some states impose limitations.

Sooooo What Do You Think Of This?

I constantly strive information regarding new information on fork trucks. Here is an important question that we thought you would find entertaining.

by Helico

Question by <3Music Is My Life <3: Sooooo What Do You Think Of This?
I'm writing a story (hopefully it will turn into a book lol) and I want to know what you guys think of it! I'm 13 but please don't say things like it's expected of my age to write like this or anything I want an opinion not based on my age. Thank you in advance! And if you could please tell me where to cut off the first chapter that would be great!

I honestly can't believe she would do this to me. What could she possibly be thinking? How could moving to the middle of no where be good for me? My thoughts were of coarse directed at my mother or at least someone who said they were my mother. The person who raised me since birth and the one who just shipped me off to my grandmother's house obviously weren't the same person. I was torn from thought when the person next to me bumped my leg while stretching.
"Sorry." The boy looked about my age and had an embarrassed smile when he spoke.
"It's okay." I replied while still looking out the plane window missing home and resenting my mother with a burning passion. As sad as it is those were the only emotions I'd even been able to feel after the accident so when I started blocking out my mom she was actually relieved that I was feeling something.
"Um..." He waited until I looked at him again before he continued.
"Are you okay? You've been really quiet this whole trip and look kinda sad or maybe pissed." I looked at this complete stranger with the eyes that even my best friend can't stand to look into anymore. People say they used to be full of life but now they're soulless and full of grief.
"Do you honestly want to know?" Most people think I come off as sweet, Innocent, and I was until someone says the wrong thing to me. The boy nodded slowly as if to say 'Yeah if I didn't want to know why would I ask you?' I close my eyes for about a second then my lift my head and give him a stare that usually scares the hell out of people. Part sad and part angry.
"My sister and dad just died and now my mother is sending me to a relatives house. She says it's to cope, that the fresh air will be good for me but I think that she just couldn't take it anymore." Now the boy looked confused and asked
"Couldn't take what?" I smile the grim little grin I've used thousands of times since everything had happened.
"That one of her daughters was dead and the other just stood there, letting it happen." He was shocked and I blocked any noise around us with the sound of Escape The Fate. I've heard too many sorrys or you poor thing in the past month to even care anymore. Two hours later we land in a Wisconsin airport. I resist putting on my heavy sweater. Some how it just feels like I'm giving in, but I change my mind as soon the flight attendant opens the door letting in the cold Winter wind. Walking down the steps I find my grandma right away. She isn't exactly the grammy type. No knitting sweaters or blankets or that kind of thing but, she is one the best grandmothers anyone could ever want. I hug her and she grabs the small bag I have with me. We walked across the parking lot to a huge black truck.
"When did you get this gram?" She wasn't technically my grandma but she was my step dad's mom and since he was in my life since I was about 3 I always considered her my family. Not to mention she's the only one I have because my mom's parents died before I was even thought of.
"This?" She patted the steering wheel.
"Last month that old car of mine almost dragged me off the road and I figured I needed something that I could trust more." She smiled at me but I couldn't smile back.
"Your mom's been telling me about how you're handling all this and I don't think it's right." I look at the women sitting across from me and reply very seriously.
"What's not right? I'm not doing anything." Gram just stares ahead and keeps talking
"That's my point you're not doing anything. Jesse and Derek wouldn't have wanted it this way, they would've wanted us to go on living." I keep looking out the window as we speed past trees getting ready to lose their leaves. Red , gold, pink, green, brown. All the colors blend together smoothly into a giant blur. When Winter fully sets in all the leaves will fall and be raked, bagged and thrown away or burned.
"Pretty leaves this time of year." I say trying to change the subject and deal with what's going on and gram lets me replying with
"Yeah. This Winter is gonna be a long one." We pull up the driveway I haven't seen in a long time and next to the curb is a white truck not much smaller then gram's.
"Who's is that?" My mom told it would just be me and gram but maybe someone else is here.
"Well you know that I'm a busy person so I got that for you to get around town. Now it's getting late so you should probably get settled in and call your mom." I leaned over and gave her a hug then opened the door and jumped down from my seat. Gram got my bag from the back and we walked into the house. I took my bag and waited for her to tell me where my room was.
"Up the stairs and it's the door straight down the hall my room's down here so if you need anything just wake me up ok." She looked at me for to confirm and I nodded and headed up the old, creaky, steps. I walked down the hallway thinking to myself Maybe this isn't all that bad after all. I mean I DID get a new truck out of all of this. I smiled as I unpacked my bags,
listening to Fall Out Boy through my headphones. A light knocking interupted my my humming.
"Come in!" I called pulling out my earbuds and pausing my music. Gram poked her head in to tell me that dinner was ready so I told her I'd be down in a second. She left and just before walking out my door I checked my reflection in the mirror. Everything seemed normal until I noticed a boy who looked about 16 maybe 17 sitting on the edge of my bed, staring back at me with eyes so blue they were almost white and a smirk on his lips. What the hell? This freaked me out a lot. Not only because I thought me and Gram were here alone but because he looked like he wasn't there. His reflection was blurred while mine were perfectly clear next to him. Slowly turning I looked toward the bed only to see nothing was there. I sprinted down the stairs and into the kitchen almost hitting the table.
"Woah! Slow down there kiddo! Haha" Gram stopped me and asked me what had happened "You look like you've seen a
ghost!" Was that what I saw? I thought Well even if it was I don't think I should tell her, it would only upset her.
"Haha nothing happened i'm just super hungry!" I smiled at her and sat down pileing spaghetti high onto my plate. She laughed and sat down across from me. There wasn't much talk during diner because as soon as I took the first bite I relised I really was starving!
When everything was cleaned up I called my mom. There wasn't much to say and before long she wanted to talk to Gram. I handed her the phone and saying
"She wants to talk to you." Gram took the phone and told me to go to bed because I had school in the morning. I paused on the stairs, still in hearing range of the kitchen.

Question: Eating 6-8 times/day?

We repeatedly hunt for intelligence regarding new information on fork trucks. Here is an important question that we thought you would find interesting.

Question by Christian A: Eating 6-8 times/day?
I already know that eating 6-8 times/day is one of the most healthy things I can do for my body... and I already do eat that way. I generally stick around 2500-2800 calories a day (6'3", 204 lbs, 14% BF). Recently, I haven't been "trucking" as efficiently as possible, and I believe it's because I'm not eating enough. I work out, generally, twice a day, or about 10 times/week. Half the workouts tend to be high-intensity interval training (ever heard of crossfit?) and the other half is just basic lifting with some interval bike riding for 25 minutes at the end. With my weight, my BMR is about 2100 calories. Coupled with just daily movement and the exercising, I figure that I'm doing about 3500 calories a day towards the total, however, I feel like I'm losing out on some energy. What I want to know, from eating this 6-8 times per day, how fast is my metabolism sped up? We talking the equivalent of 100-200 calories? or more like 400-500? Should I be eating a little more? Thanks!
let me be more specific. I eat near-perfectly right now, so that's not the issue. I know what to eat and when to eat it. What I need to know is, how much is my metabolism being sped up as a result of me eating 6-8 times/day?

What would it take to swap a Duramax diesel into an Avalanche?

I constantly strive news regarding new information on lift trucks. Here is an important question that I anticipate you would find entertaining.

Question by Erik E: What would it take to swap a Duramax diesel into an Avalanche?
I like everything the Avalanche has to offer, except a diesel option!

Assume I'm starting w/ a 2003-5 Avalanche 2500. I like the 6.6 Duramax ($ 5k+), but am wondering about a few things...
-would/should the tranny be replaced? Allison 1000 (~$ 2k)? (I would like to keep the 4WD)
-Front/Rear differential/axle work...what would be needed, if anything? I would also have it lifted to fit 33's
-instruments/computer/gauges; is anything reusable? Or should I plan for a complete replacement job from a silverado/sierra and custom dash work
-This would eventually be a family daily driver and occasionally used for hunting/towing/some off-road stuff. I would run it on bio-diesel made from a home set-up

Right now this is just exploration. I don't care to hear anyone say, "it would be better to just buy a new truck" or anything along those lines. This is a project I would like to plan out and see if it would be something fun to do on weekends in the garage with beers and buddies. I have the resources (manpower, tools, experience) but not unlimited funds....so what do you all think?

P.S. I've been reading quite a bit through message boards and what not, but I haven't really seen solid, direct answers to my questions. Thanks.

Answer by Daniel R
you would be alot farther ahead to just buy a duramax truck, you would have to replace the trans the allision is a HD trans that can handle the torque from the diesel, the fuel system is completely different, the PCM wirering harness is different, the IP will be diff,so in short you would need to spend more on converting the buying the truck. hope that answers you questions.

How to Choose Good Secondhand or Used Forklifts?

How to Choose Good Secondhand or Used Forklifts?

Choosing used forklifts is not a tough ask. You need to be technically inclined to a certain extent. The first thing that has to be considered at all costs when you are set to invest in used forklifts is the size. You need to ask yourself about the size that you would require for your workloads and how heavy should it be? In fact, the question is, how heavy can you handle? This would certainly help you in differentiating between the bad and the ones that should be considered for purchase.

The next factor that would come into effect while purchasing used forklifts is the height till which you would require to lift the forklift. The height is very important because the reach of a big forklift would invariably be more than that of the smaller one. One has to be very prudent while doing these things. It is only then that the objective is achieved. The height till which you would be lifting the load matters a lot. This is a very important factor in choosing which forklift should be bought.

Another factor which comes into effect is whether you would be using the forklifts indoors or outdoors. If the usage has to happen indoors, then the smaller it is, the better it would be. If outdoors, then the bigger it is, the better would it suffice! If both, then a mediocre sized one should fit the bill effortlessly. The penultimate factor would be the space or the ground that you have to cover. The room that the person carrying the load has to cover makes the choice evident and more transparent.

The most important and the last factor is the number of hours for which the forklift has to be used. If the number of hours that are involved in usage is large, then the size of the machine has to be taken into account accordingly so that the choice is not goofed up with. More the number of hours, heavier should the machine be. This ensures that the machine does not burn out because of heavy workload and always stays in sync with the usage that has to happen.

The choice that has to be made should always be preceded by all the factors that influence a particular decision. The decision has to be well calculated and has to be measured well so that there is no blooper made in that decision. The more calculated the decision is, the better are the chances of ensuring that the buyer ends up with the right choice. The choice comes out well when the following factors mentioned above are considered well without a shadow of doubt. The purchase becomes fruitful and the money spent on them does not go waste.

Question by michel: im serious about loseing weight.?
okay, i used to weighed 285 poundsand in less then 3 months i got my weight to about 254, seems like i kinda hit some barer, but keep in mind im one of though people who are built like a "truck" im 17, and bench 355. i have weight class, i lessened the weight but did more reps, and i have been working more on cardio, like after i get my main lifts, and have 30+ Min's left i ride the exercises machine at about 350-1100 Cal's/h. the thing i think that is keeping me here, is the fact that my school doesn't offer healthy food, same with the store near it. so should i just say F#@K it and bring my own stuff, or just skip lunch? i don't take any supplements, because the protein factor, my ideal Weight would be to get around 210/205 i can only imagine how i would feel. so If anyone has a good routine for there daily life that helps them lose weight, please post an answer, i would be very great-full

Best answer:

Answer by richard
Just bring your own food. Skipping meals isn't good anyway.

Anyway for my routine I put myself on a schedule. Every 3 hours. Those are the only times I eat. And I pre-prepare my food so each meal is only 300 calories MAX.

So each day I eat a maximum of 1500 calories. Even if I sat on my butt all day and watched TV I would lose 1 lbs. per week by eating 1500 cals.

But I also throw in exercise 6 days a week.

I don't know if I should tell my husband what his friend said or not???

We regularly seek news regarding new information on forklifts. Here is an important question that we thought you would find amusing.

Question by Independence Baby - 7/4/09: I don't know if I should tell my husband what his friend said or not???
My husband has a neuromuscular disease and he gets very worn out from lifting heavy things. Well, last night I babysat his friends kid while they went to get a 57 inch TV that we just purchased. When the friend came home, he told me "(your man) is useless and I had to call another one of my friends to help me unload the TV b/c he SAYS he couldn't do it" I was like you know he has a problem and he was like "whatever, I think he still could have helped me get the TV off the truck." I told him he was a jerk and left. They used to be best friends and when my husband got sick (3 years ago), the other guy kinda distanced himself, and we're just now kinda hanging out again. I'm just wondering if I should tell my husband what he said or leave it be? I don't want to hurt my husband, but I feel he should know this guy has no concern for his current situation! Thanks!!!

What to Consider Prior to Buying a Used Forklift

Industrial Forklifts continuously strive info regarding new information on industrial forklifts. We have enclosed an article that we anticipate you would find intriguing.

What to Consider Prior to Buying a Used Forklift

Material handling equipments are not low-priced items still they are touted the cost-saving machineries. Does it sound duplicity? Well, it does at first. But as soon as you tiptoe to the depth of the analysis, the shroud of ambiguity falls off. They save the physical labor and thereby saving a substantial amount spent as wages. The accumulation of this monthly saving compensates the shelling of the huge amount at the time of buying any material handling equipment.
A forklift is one such high-end equipment that is instrumental in cutting down the cost of production and also ensuring the assurance of security at the workstation. Purchasing an item is a daunting task and it becomes more complicated at the times of buying an old one. Therefore, buying a used forklift model requires the purchasers to be more meticulous. The buyers must list down their requirements and then shop around to find the best fitting items. The new models are often fitted up with the extra parts in accordance with the consumers' demands. In case, anyone is buying the used forklift, the person should ask if these machines can be tailored to the choices of the buyers.
The type of the materials and their weights are the prime considerations for the manufacturers. The used forklift will come in the various versions and one must pick up the model that serves to the listed purposes to a T. The forklifts handle many an item such as pipes, furniture, cartoons etc. each model is capable of lifting up a specific amount of weight. Overburdening the items causes them sag under the pressure of heavy loads. Moreover, when a used forklift is purchased, its capacity can not be expected to remain the same as a new item due to depreciation. So the buyers must comb the sellers about the present load capacity of the item and also test the verity in their claims.
The next major criteria is the height of the place where the loads to be stacked. The forklift is used for the two main purposes---lifting and placing. One should make sure that all the parts of the used forklift are in the perfect working conditions. This checking is vital if you are burying any used material handling equipment.
The buyers should also ask for how many times the used forklift was sent to the repairing house. Do not take the sellers at their words; instead ask for the bills for the verification. Once you are satisfied with the health of the items and in no doubt regarding its long service in future, you can enter into the most irritating episode---bargaining.

Rob Goodey is a mechanical engineer who is working for an construction company. He has good knowledge on material handling equipment. For more information he recommends to visit http://www.wilmat-handling.co.uk/

Question: What SUV or crossover would you recommend to replace a Yukon?

We repeatedly hunt for intelligence regarding new information on fork trucks. Here is an important question that we expect you would find entertaining.

Question by kyle v: What SUV or crossover would you recommend to replace a Yukon?
My family currently has a 2007 GMC Yukon with pretty much everything (captain chairs, auto lift gate, DVD player, etc) and we were thinking of getting something a little smaller. We are a family of 4, parents in early 50s and children 19 and 22. My mom is the main driver and she likes "trucks". She likes the size of it but my dad and I think it is too big seeing as we have 4 cars already. What SUV or crossover would you recommend that has a nice interior and exterior, not too small or car-like, decent on gas and reliable? We were thinking about the BMW X5 or the Acura, etc. We wouldn't need the DVD players or anything but we would appreciate somethings like auto lift gate or nav. Thanks for your help

Are you enthusiastic/indifferent/spiteful of guys who drive big trucks?

I perpetually strive information regarding new information on fork trucks. Here is an important question that we believe you would find intriguing.

Question by TXpsy90: Are you enthusiastic/indifferent/spiteful of guys who drive big trucks?
It seems like a lot of people really hate guys who drive lifted trucks or even stock full-size trucks. A portion of these drivers are jerks who shouldn't have even passed drivers ed, but I don't think it's fair to make generalizations. It's annoying when people pull out the "short man syndrome" and "small dick big truck" jokes. Those stereotypes CAN be true (as any stereotype can be true), but once again, why generalize? It's not fair to all the people who don't fit those stereotypes. I'm short height-wise, but I'm not gonna drop my pants in the parking lot to prove that I'm well-equipped down there.

Many guys simply enjoy offroading or driving something big and powerful. Seriously, trucks are fun to drive..ask any guy. My ancestors worked for GM, I'm from Texas, and I've gawked over trucks since I was old enough to differentiate objects...so what do you think I'm gonna drive?! Trucks just make sense to me aesthetically and in a practical sense (some military families move A LOT, even in between new assignments..so having a truck is cheaper than being U-HAUL's frequent customer)

Honestly I don't give a $ hit what people say..cuz at the end of the day I've got my true friends and a fun vehicle. I'm just curious to see how many people fall for ridiculous stereotypes, and how many apply them to all truck drivers.
Pinky is a perfect example...this person doesn't know my race or my size, but feels a need to open the mouth

5 things you should remember before buying a Used Forklift

5 things you should remember before buying a Used Forklift

There are certain things you ought to remember before you set out to buy a used forklift. Fact is that the forklift happens to be one of the most solid and robust machines currently available in the machinery segment. It is in demand from the industrial sector, is used extensively and is ordered in huge numbers so that work within the industry can be carried out well. There are certain things that ought to be taken into account before investing in used forklift trucks. Not every used forklift truck you buy is good and not every machine that is sold is flawless.

The machine should have all parts intact and the same should be verified by a mechanic. Take a team of technicians with you who will cross examine every part carefully before you make the payment and are ready to take the machine home. The whole exercise of investing in a machine turns futile if the parts are not working properly.
Remember to only see those forklifts which match the weight category you look forward to. Never invest money in buying a forklift whose weight category is way beyond of what you require, as that would be wastage of capital; and never invest on the one whose category is beneath of that of your requirements. The latter would prove to be a useless purchase as the money is sure to go down the drain. The machine which cannot even lift the kind of weight you would expect of it is a useless purchase.
Ride on the used forklift and do some test runs to see whether it is fine or not. This is one thing that you need to do. Imagine your employee or ally is riding on the forklift some days after the purchase lifting weights around and some anomaly comes up in the machine? What do you do at that point in time? You regret your decision and curse yourself. Do not let that happen. Make sure that the machine is oiled and lubricated well and is in a good condition.
Make sure that the papers of the machine are in place and the warranty period too has been mentioned categorically. The papers are very important. They determine the date of purchase and have the warranty period clearly mentioned in them. It is in the papers that the warranty period is mentioned and any absence of the same is reason enough for alarm bells to go off.
The height till which the forklift lifts the weight should meet the normal standards. Some of them lift the weight very highly while some of them are slow coaches and do not go till that height. The real deal lies in the fact that the machine should be competent enough to take the weight to a certain level, which has been designated as normal. When that happens, then things can be proudly said to be as normal.

Question: Would You Buy This Book If You Saw It In The Store?

We continuously hunt for intelligence regarding new information on forklift. Here is an important question that we anticipate you would find interesting.

Question by Butcher: Would You Buy This Book If You Saw It In The Store?
Sunday was my mother's favorite day, maybe because she had been born on the same day, or because it was Sunday, and like other Sundays – a day off. But there was something odd on this Sunday. I had never seen my mother working so hard. Her hands looked so fatigued that I was sure this cart of laundry was not the only one she had carried. The sweat drops that had appeared on her forehead flowed down along the creases of her arms while the second cart was being carried. My eyes could not watch her doing it all on her own
"Mom, are you sure you do not need any help?" I said, but my left hand already held the cart she had just lifted off the floor. I knew she needed my assistance; actually most of the times she had asked me to help her. She turned her head at me to meet my eyes and said regrettably
"No, Billy. It is fine; I am not as weak as you think. (cough) go out, play with your friends. I bet they are waiting for you outside"
Her light - brownish eyes accentuated the tears that were about to wash her face. I reached out to hold the cart as I noticed her tired hands shaking
" I told you, I DID NOT NEED YOUR HELP !" , she increased the volume of her voice that it sounded a way more threatening than before, and headed to the front door to dry the clothes . I was waiting next to the chair I had sat on, knowing it would not take a long time for her to call me. It had been almost two hours and thirty seven minutes. I was quite impressed, thinking maybe it was a special Sunday after all. I ran all the way up stairs to my room to make sure she is doing well. My body froze as I found out she had been sleeping the whole time. The laundry cart was dropped faced down on the grass, and the clothes she had put in it scattered around her body. I did not know whether to go out or stay in, but the way she was laying looked as if she had fallen. I went out through the window and climbed down the oak next to my house to get to her faster than I would have if I had gone out through the door. When I approached her, it took me a couple of minutes to understand what had happened.
"Mother, are you okay? Can you hear my voice?" She did not answer. I shook her head in an attempt to wake her up; her eyes were closed so I spread my fingers as far apart as I could to open them, nothing helped. I rolled her over the grass to move her to the bed, but as her head was moved from the place it had been, I noticed a blood stain in my father's military uniform. I put her body aside and touched the stain to examine it. It looked just like a ketchup sauce from where I stood. I stuck out my tongue to taste it, it was a blood. I tried to estimate how much blood she had been losing but the presence of my father's military uniform drew my attention. I called my father (Robert ) although I did not want to, because my father tended to make a drama out of nothing.
"Dad, it is Billy, try to come home as fast as you can, I will tell you everything later, bye"
I knew I should not have said it, but I also could not deal with everything. My dad came even faster than I had expected. He was so eager to know what had happened that he did not close the doors of his truck
"Billy, are you okay? What's happened?" My dad was too worried that I decided to tell it in a way that would not let him get another heart attack
" Mom is bleeding a bit, she will be fine, by the way, how did your military uniform get in the laundry?"
My dad ignored what I had asked and took her to the nearer hospital, and told me the truth because he knew he could not fob me off with the fake stories he had used to tell me.
"Billy, I will not be home in the next few weeks. I am a soldier, and my force is going to participate in a war soon. But I will be back as I always did! , I bet your mom could not take it and collapsed… but I know you are strong enough to keep standing on the ground, right?"
I had to agree with him, because I knew there was nothing I could say to make him stay. I did not know why my mother had not told me about it, on a second thought, maybe she had tried to keep it away from me by not letting me help her.

By the way, how is my English?

How about some repeat jokes?

How about some repeat jokes?

I constantly hunt for details regarding new information on fork trucks. Here is an important question that I expect you would find intriguing.

Question by Camille: How about some repeat jokes?
When you're hospitalized, it pays to be nice to your nurse . . .
. . . even when you're feeling miserable. A bossy businessman learned the hard way after ordering his nurses around as if they were his employees. But the head nurse stood up to him. One morning she entered his room and announced, "I have to take your temperature." After complaining for several minutes, he finally settled down, crossed his arms and opened his mouth. "No, I'm sorry, the nurse stated, "but for this reading, I can't use an oral thermometer."
This started another round of complaining, but eventually he rolled over and bared his bottom.
After feeling the nurse insert the thermometer, he heard her announce, "I have to get something. Now you stay just like that until I get back!" She left the door to his room open just a little on her way out, and he cursed under his breath as he heard people walking past his door laughing.
After almost an hour, the man's doctor came into the room. "What's going on here?" asked the doctor.
Angrily, the man answers, "What's the matter, Doc? Haven't you ever seen someone having their temperature taken?"
"Yes," said the doctor. "But never with a carnation.

A man was telling his co-worker one day . . .
. . . that the company was transferring him to Chicago. He explained that he was going to quit before he had to move there.

When asked why, he replied that he was just too afraid of all the crime even though he would be passing up a big salary increase and greater benefits.

His co-worker said he should reconsider. Chicago was a magnificent city, with world class museums, loaded with a great history, sites, good public transportation, etc. Then he said: "Why I myself worked in Chicago for almost 10 years, and in all that time I never ever had a problem with crime while I was working."

The first asked "What did you do there?"

To which the other replied, "I was tail-gunner on a bread truck."

The old cowhand came riding into town on a hot, dry, dusty day.
The local sheriff watched from his chair in front of the saloon as the cowboy wearily dismounted and tied his horse to the rail a few feet in front of the sheriff.
"Howdy, stranger..."
"Howdy, Sheriff..."
The cowboy then moved slowly to the back of his horse, lifted its tail, and placed a big kiss where the sun don't shine. He dropped the horse's tail, stepped up on the walk, and aimed towards the swinging doors of the saloon.
"Hold on, Mister...""Sheriff?"
"Did I just see what I think I just saw?"
"Reckon you did, Sheriff...I got me some powerful chapped lips..."
"And that cures them?"
"Nope, but it keeps me from lickin' em."

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday . . .
. . . of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California raisins, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flour.
As a longtime friend, Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers.
He was not considered a very "smart" cookie, wasting his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky, at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions. Toward the end it was thought he would rise again, but alas, he was no tart.
Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough; two children, John and Jane Dough; plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

fooled ya they aren't. lol
I was kidding about them being repeat jokes.
This is a joke site. I give up.
Going to go watch some television because everyone has left their sense of humor in their old undies.

What Makes a Bucket Truck a Forestry Bucket Truck?

by leff

We perpetually strive information regarding new information on industrial forklifts. We have enclosed an article that we expect you would find compelling.

What Makes a Bucket Truck a Forestry Bucket Truck?

The forestry industry has completely different needs for bucket trucks than say, the electric industry. While they both need to reach heights a ladder can't safely reach, forestry workers have a completely different set of variables to maintain and take into consideration. Take for example, a worker trimming a large tree limb that is dead and near a walking trail. Cutting that large limb can be deadly if not removed properly. Falling debris is just one of many concerns of forestry workers in bucket trucks.

At first glance you probably won't find more than one or two things different with a forestry bucket truck compared to any other industry specific bucket truck. The obvious difference is the cab gaurd the forestry industry needs. This cab gaurd is integral to the safety of workers inside the cab. If a tree or large limb were to fall on the truck, the cab gaurd would keep the worker from getting crushed.

Insulated booms are not a necessity in the forestry industry because workers rarely come in contact with power lines. It is handy in case of the rare chance you do need to work around live wires however, most forestry workers would call for assistance from a power linesman to handle such a situation.

Another thing most forestry bucket trucks have are behind the cab booms. The placement of the boom on the truck allows for manueverability to hard to reach spots, all while performing the job safely. The position of the boom keeps the truck balanced and helps to avoid tipping.

As you can see there are significant differences between forestry bucket trucks and other industries trucks. If you are considering becoming a forestry worker, it is advised you take the risks of the job into consideration. All forestry workers are highly trained and licensed.

Southwest Equipment is a reconditioner of bucket trucks, digger derricks, pressure diggers, and boom trucks. They are dedicated to the advancement of bucket truck quality and technology. Southwest Equipment regularly writes articles regarding bucket trucks and digger trucks to assist in improving the heavy equipment industry.
