When dealing with construction work and hard work, Fork lift trucks are always the first few pieces of equipment that come to our mind. This is because these trucks are very helpful at work. Basically, forks lift trucks are industrial-powered trucks used to carry heavy materials and tools around the work site. These are also used to transport materials from one place to another since they can just be driven by the operator to and from the worksite. However, dealing the fork lift trucks isn't an easy thing to say. These days, about 1-2% of accidents recorded in work sites are related to the use and malfunction of this equipment. These accidents are usually serious because of the physical injuries it creates on the part of the workers and the Fork lift trucks on the part of the companies. Usually, the one that is blamed is the operator who is on the truck and not the company yet actually accidents are usually caused by the surroundings and failure of the company to provide proper training as to how these trucks have to be operated. Apart from the training for the operators, the workers in the site also have to be informed of the precautionary measures that have to be followed at the worksite. First, each piece of equipment should have horns that the operator could use to notify people that these trucks are at work during this particular time. In that way, workers on the ground could also prepare and be aware of the things that they have to whenever they are near the truck. Also, the workers have to be informed also on what they should do when they hear this alarm as it is not only the responsibility of the drivers to take care of the workers but also the workers have to be careful when working. Secondly, the trucks need to follow a particular limit as to its speed or velocity. Of course, we all know that finishing a project immediately could give gains to the companies but when things go wrong, haste becomes a waste. Thus, it is better to follow a particular speed limit when the trucks are being used in the worksite. Warehouse Industrial Jib Boom Fork Truck Attachment

Industrial Forklifts blog regularly strive details regarding new information on industrial lifts. We have enclosed an article that we expect you would find intriguing.

Warehouse Industrial Jib Boom Fork Truck Attachment

Forklift jib boom attachments are much less expensive than jib cranes and can perform almost all of the same tasks at a fraction of the cost and with less heavy equipment on premises. Forklift jibs allow you to reach over obstructions to place heavy loads on roofs, elevated platforms, and decks. You can use them to reach through windows and doorways to pick up loads from second and third story areas still under construction. Forklift & fork truck jibs can also be used to load and unload flatbed trailers and trucks. Many companies use them to suspend trusses and to laminate wood, and jibs can also be very useful when reaching over scaffolding for masonry work. Overall, they are some of the most useful tools you can invest in for moving and handling equipment on a construction site.

Every jib boom forklift attachment is made with two swivel hooks. One hook is fixed at the end of the jib, and the other can be manually fitted to any position on the boom's underside. This allows you to pick up any load with two hook points. Each hook is individually rated at either 4000 lbs. or 6,000 lbs, depending on the size of the model. You can use one hook or two to pick up a load, but you have to make sure that the total weight of the jib and the load does not exceed the rated capacity of the jib as shown on the load chart for that extended or retracted position.

Easy Rack Fork Truck jibs attachments are intended for use on industrial lift trucks and rough terrain straight-mast or extendable-reach forklifts. Forklift truck jib cranes install on the forklift by inserting both forks fully into the fork pockets. The rear of the jib crane then seats against the back of the fork. A safety chain wraps forklift carriage to hold it in place.

Jib Boom Forklift Attachment Load Capacity

Maximum load capacity for forklift jibs in both the extended or retracted positions range from 1935-6000 lbs. Ask a material handling specialist about load limits for your particular application. Please remember as well that load capacity ratings are for the jib itself and not the forklift nor the maximum load that can be safely handled with a particular forklift. Whenever forklift jibs, or any other attachments for that matter, are added to a fork truck, the new center of gravity created by the attachment, will reduce the lift capacity of the forklift. See our page on "heavy duty jibs" for details on how to calculate these load limits, or, if you lack the time to do the calculations yourself, call a member of our staff.

Fork Trucks & Fork lift Attachment Safe Usage

Before using a forklift jib, be certain that you have properly secured it to the forklift with shackles and hooks. Always double check to make sure that the screw pins are tight. Double check too that your load limit calculations were done correctly, and take into consideration while doing so that rated capacities sometimes decrease when the boom is in a raised position, when the mast is tilted forward, or when the boom is extended with telehandlers.

Never pull a load with a fork lift jib Attachment. These Forklift attachments are designed for vertical lift only. Always carry the load without letting it swing. Any time a load is lifted, use extreme caution to avoid tipping over the fork truck.

Forklifts: a History

Forklifts: a History

You keep on using this work machine but do you have any idea what the history of forklifts/lift trucks is all about? Forklifts, together with other industrial machines, were made at the start of the 20th century when Americans were in the period of a rapid industrialization after World War I. During this period, several companies from different industries were shifting to material handling industry. Hyster, for instance, begun in the logging industry but then shifted its focus to the burgeoning materials handling industry to start developing forklifts.

During and after 2nd World War, the use of forklifts became a necessity to industrialization. During this said period of time, forklifts were used in the war to carry supplies to the front lines and were also utilized to transport military related goods from American factories to foreign ports. Different warehouses used forklifts and lift trucks to fuel productivity and efficiency when it comes to material handling.

As times passed, industrialization had now evolved to what we perceive as technological evolution. Electric forklifts were created to make way for lower operating costs. Electric forklifts are earth friendly compared to gas powered forklifts.

The development of forklifts had gone a long way. Originally, altering tractors and applying lifts were the procedures on how to create forklifts. Now, the use of electric forklifts is a testament to the furtherance of the forklift technology. Many companies are now using forklifts that have rear wheel steering to increase the abilities of the forklift driver to do maneuvers in narrow passageways.

The great market of forklifts today owes its credence to the history of forklifts/lift trucks. Nowadays, the market share for forklifts is huge. New and used forklifts help businesses by reducing operation costs and increasing productivity of workers. Though nothing beats a new forklift, more and more businesses are finding it practical to buy used forklifts because it is cheaper.

Almost all warehouse, freight dock, construction site, and manufacturing plants need quality made and durable forklifts. It is important that in addition to the history of forklifts/lift trucks, you also know the several factors that need to be considered before buying a forklift for your business. The price of the forklift and how you will be using it are the two most important considerations you have to think about.

Brand new forklifts cost at least ,000. Though electric forklifts are more expensive, they can save you money in the long run; forklifts with internal combustion engine is cheaper but need to be refueled often. Usually, the price of a standard 5000 lbs forklift is in between ,000 to ,000 depending on the kind of features you are looking for.

Forklifts that have greater lifting capacities may be very expensive. A forklift that can handle 35,000 lbs, for instance, many cost at least a 0,000. Even though a used forklift may cost less than a brand new forklift, it is still pricey. Make sure that when you are buying a used forklift, you ask for a personal warranty so if in case something is wrong, you can always return it to have it repaired or possibly get your money back.

Forklifts indeed help a lot of businesses nowadays. Before you invest your money on buying one, make sure that you really need it and that you know which type of forklifts suits you best. We also hope that the brief history of forklifts/ lift trucks can help you find quality made forklifts.

Buy Used Fork Truck Only From Trusted Dealer

We regularly hunt for info regarding new information on industrial fork trucks. We have enclosed an article that I thought you would find compelling.

Buy Used Fork Truck Only From Trusted Dealer

A lot of thought goes into buying Used Fork Trucks. The seller might con you and sell you something that would work whilst being sold, but would go bust within two days of purchase. When you take the same thing and trash it in front of the seller, he comes up with a decoy story saying that it would definitely have been your fault and would easily wash his hands off the whole thing. A used fork truck has to be bought with a lot of caution. First you need to be technically aware of all the parts in it and its functionalities. Secondly, its condition should be good and you ought to get it verified by a professional. The final thing would be that you need to make the purchase from a trusted dealer.

A purchase from a trusted dealer would ensure you end up with the right purchase. When you approach a trusted dealer, you are at least assured about one thing and that would be the legitimacy about the product. This is one of the most important facts about the fork truck. An official dealer can never ever think of selling you a defunct or non operational truck because he knows it very well that he can be sued anytime.   He would dare not do anything of that sort. If something like that happens, then he would be inviting a lawsuit against him on the grounds of selling illegal and defunct consumer goods and might end up coughing out a huge compensation.

The dealer takes care of the rest of the factors involved. The machine has to be done well. It is taken care of by the dealer. The machine gets oiled and lubricated well. It is taken care of by the dealer. The machine is sold with a certain warranty period. It is again taken care of by the dealer.  The warranty stamp ensures that the buyer can approach the seller anytime within that period in case an anomaly arises out of the machine. The seller will be entitled to sort out that anomaly and ensure that the machine starts working all over again.

These are certain benefits that come when you make the purchase from a trusted dealer. The machine goes nowhere, the money goes nowhere. Everything remains then and there and stays under the guidance of the dealer.

The Forklift Company is the trusted dealer in UK offers best deals on used fork truck. If you are looking for good and best used fork lift trucks then you are most welcome as the company is offering best offers on first come first serve basis.
